Expert report on a land based wind-farm
EDF New Energies wishes, in the framework of its economic analysis site, to make a review of the current state of its windfarm. Located in the department of L’Hérault (34), The AUMELAS Park, created in 2007 produces 134 million kilowatts/year with its 24 wind-turbines.

In order to have maximum accuracy in the search of pathologies, we have carried out the flights at very close range to the composite wind turbine blades (2m).To perform this operation safely, the Diadés drone was specially equipped with shields.

DIADES’ task
Our mission consisted of undertaking a technical and detailed inspection of the wind turbine.
Thus, we have established a general condition in terms of:
- Testing for cracks,
- Paint,
- Signs of ageing,
- Impacts,
- Physical defects
- Mechanical clamping.
The drone is particularly suitable for this type of inspection since it is not constraining vis-a-vis the operation and enables a flexible and rapid procedure.
